Propagandhi Tops Exclaim!'s Best-of List

Winnipeg political punk legend, Propagandhi, has landed at the top of Exclaim!'s year-end best-of list and subsequently on the cover of the magazine's 200th issue. The magazine also named the band's fifth effort, Supporting Caste, as its best punk album of 2009.

Released on Winnipeg labels G7 Welcoming Committee Records and Smallman Records in March, Supporting Caste was produced by the band and Descendants alum, Bill Stevenson at The Blasting Room in Colorado. The album has garnered a lot of critical praise since its release.

Propagandhi, meanwhile, is hitting a Dublin stage in early December before continuing on to a handful of dates in Northern Ireland, Scotland, and England. The band has spent a chuck of the last year on the road, playing shows all over the world including stops in Australia, Italy, Hungary, Netherlands, and Germany, and sharing bills with the likes of Sacrifice and Bad Brains.

The band is taking time off  the road in 2010 to start writing a new album. While there are no definitive plans as of yet, it's possible that fans might get something new to listen to by late 2010.
