About Emm Gryner

Emm Gryner has carved out an enviable career completely on her own terms over the past decade, long before current music-industry trends sent many artists down an independent path.

She has released eleven full length records, several on her own Dead Daisy Records, which also released albums by In-Flight Safety and Royal Wood. Two of her records received Juno nominations for Best Pop Album of the Year. And she still found time to tour and record in David Bowie's band, host the CBC radio program Under the Covers, and taking acting parts in film and music videos.

Emm Gryner has received incredible accolades from other musicians and songwriters. Nelly Furtado named Gryner's album Science Fair one of her desert island discs and David Bowie named Gryner one of his favorite Canadian actists. U2 frontman Bono recognized the track "Almighty Love" from Gryner's album The Summer of High Hopes as one of six songs that he wished he had written from the last twenty years of music The American indie band +/- covered the song "Summerlong" for their EP, Holding Patterns, and the song "Angel" by Matt Nathanson is written about her.
