Acoustic Alternative Folk Punk
Bomz is a nickname Clay Pedersen’s buddies gave to him in the Winnipeg car scene.
Raised in small town Manitoba, Bomz got his first guitar from the local music shop at 8. By 14 he was busking on the streets of Winnipeg (mainly Osborne village). Shortly after playing in local band Scrote, Bomz decided to “fix my life” and go to the Canadian Forces. “I sold everything and went for it. I didn’t know where I was gonna end up.” Once he got his life back on track, starting a family came soon. Still not able to shake the music bug and now stripped down to an acoustic singer/songwriter style, Bomz performed locally around Winnipeg at lounges and coffee shops. Working Midnights for the railway didn’t allow for a lot of live shows, so he took to YouTube to cover a few songs. “We went to a studio to record a cover song so we could listen to it while in the garage. The guy at the studio said, “play an original”. So I did.” That song was released on a compilation, and after receiving feedback from his friends, it was decided. Bomz should have more songs. “I guess we gotta start recording some of this stuff.” Was Bomz’s comment.
You can now find Bomz’s music on most music sharing services as well as YouTube.
