The NAfro Band
Casimiro Nhussi and the NAfro Band, a local Manitoban Afro-Jazz ensemble, create music perfectly suited for dancing on hot summer nights.
The band began in 2001 accompanying the NAfro Dance Company productions. They soon branched out to play on their own, around Winnipeg, Canada, and even Mozambique.
They play their own original songs and a smattering of songs they just can’t resist covering, such as Manu Dibango, Fela Kuti, and Franco Luambo Makiadi . They play what moves them and they’re sure it will get you movingThe NAfro Band
