One-on-One Career Consultations

About Career Consultations

Manitoba Music members can access our experienced and knowledgeable staff and colleagues for consults on a variety of music business topics, including grants and funding, marketing and promotion, digital strategies, touring and showcasing, export-readiness, building a team, strategic planning, rights and royalties, and more. Consultations are intended for general information and direction.

Consults will be approximately 30-45 minutes in length and take place in person at the Manitoba Music office, over the phone, or via Zoom by arrangement. Consults typically take place during Manitoba Music's business hours, Monday through Friday, 10 - 4 PM. Please note that our office is closed on Mondays and Fridays, but phone and online consults are still available. Please be sure to arrive on time. Bring your questions and be prepared to take notes.

Our goal with consultations and other training opportunities is to help members build their skills and resources to make those connections and decisions on their own. We aren't able provide a demo-listening feedback, referrals, recommendations, or personally connect members to the industry.

How to Book a Consult

We use the Calendly online booking system to set up consults. Booking a consult is easy:

Click the "book a consult with..." link below for the staff member you're interested in talking to
Select a date and time from the calendar - all available days will be highlighted in blue
Provide your basic details (e.g. first and last name, email)
Select a location to meet (in-person at our office, online via Zoom, or over the phone)
Hit 'schedule event' and you will receive a confirmation email
