About
This workshop is for First Nation, Metis, and Inuit people that produce concerts or festivals in Aboriginal communities.
Errol Ranville (C-Weed Band), Jason Hooper (West End Cultural Centre), Melissa Sanchez (Stage 49 at the Gathering of Nations), Dave McLeod (NCI FM / Streetz FM), and Dominic Lloyd (Former Artistic Director, West End Cultural Centre and Dawson City Music Festival) will lead the discussion and share their concert production/music presentation experience.
The discussion topics will include:
- Artist contract negotiations(offers, fees, negotiation tips, contracts,
riders) - Production (pa, backline, lights, techs, sound check, scheduling,
advancing) - Marketing
- Business models
- Funding and corporate sponsors
This workshops is free as long as you register by Thursday, June 14, 2012.
All participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodations, and other expenses related to attending the workshop.
