Isolation is the single most important component for originality in creation. An attribute that Winnipeg and Iceland both share. Iceland is surrounded by water, Winnipeg is surrounded by wheat. Both cities exist in parallel universes and engender originals in art and music.
Eyvind Kang and Jessika Kenney (“work of delicate beauty” – New York Times) perform new music as a duo and Valgeir Sigurðsson (“sublime and disconcerting” – Q2) performs excerpts of his latest recording with Eyvind Kang.
