The Live @ The Folk Exchange series highlights emerging and established performers in an intimate setting – just like a concert in your own living room. Bring a friend, have a drink (we are licenced) and take in an evening of unforgettable music.

Her mother, a school music teacher, and her father, a grain farmer raised Festival-friend Sheena Grobb in Treherne, Manitoba. Her musical background was nurtured from the tender age of two years old with a passion ingrained in her small town roots. The songs show writes are underscored by a soothing presence and the sophistication of a classical influence, weaving poetic subtleties together with honest and simple truths, often recognized most by those who experience music on a transcendent level. 

Fresh off an acclaimed performance at the 2013 Vancouver International Jazz Festival, David’s star is in the ascendant. Following up on 2012’s celebrated EP trilogy, The Arrival, he has readied a textured brew of the cosmic and earthy for his second solo album, Golden Future Time; a sonic exploration of the muse combining electronica, R&B, funk, art-rock, disco and cabaret.
