Hear All Year! The Winnipeg Folk Festival is thrilled to be presenting The Crooked Brothers Album Release December 12 at the WestEnd CulturalCentre. Tickets are on sale for $20.00 through Ticketmaster and at the Winnipeg Folk Festival Music Store. Doors at 7:15, show at 8:00 PM. Winnipeg's The Madtrappers are opening!
Three sweet harmonies. A single harmonica holding the whole room at attention. An inhuman, gravelly deep voice crooning until things growl and shake and come smashing down with a filthy rhythm beneath it. Both gritty and pretty at once - their homebrew take on folk, on blues, rock or anything they turn their hands to can't be said to be anything but their own. This is a dark poem that can set hundreds dancing at a time. Crooked Brothers to the last drop.
They have toured 10 countries, played in nearly every province and territory in Canada, and have released three full length albums. They are excited to be releasing their fourth album 'Thank You, I'm Sorry' at the West End this December.
