Dave Quanbury, the Winnipeg-born singer-songwriter best known for his work as half of the Juno-nominated group Twilight Hotel is teaming up with The Dirty Catfish Brass Band for a night of original and New Orlean's inspired music at The Good Will Social Club on May 10 2015.

Quanbury moved to Austin TX back in '09 and started playing trumpet there in the Minor Mishap Marching Band. As a member of that group he opened for the Rebirth Brass Band, Balkan Beat Box, played ACL live and led several parades. The band also started their own festival Honktx. In 2012, Quanbury started his own brass quintet in Austin by poaching members of the Minor Mishap Marching Band to back him up on his own songs. They recorded an album called 'In the meantime let's attend to our pleasures.'

In August 2014, Dave was denied entry into the United States and has been living temporarily in Winnipeg while his lawyers sort out his immigration status. That's given him a chance to connect with the local brass scene and team up with The Dirty Catfish Brass Band

Together Dave Quanbury and The Dirty Catfish Brass Band are teaming up to perform Quanbury's material as well as a host of material from the traditional New Orleans cannon.
