We are thrilled to partner - for the first time - with MEMETIC to bring a show to Winnipeg that mixes the vibe of MEMETIC's Cube events and our Big Blue @ Night energy.
We are presenting Adham Shaikh (Nelson, B.C.) at the Pyramid Cabaret on Saturday, May 9. The show is called 1001 Nights and tickets are on sale for just $20 at the Winnipeg Folk Festival Music Store and through Ticketmaster. Kasm, Chris Komus, and Nathan Zahn will also play.
As a music producer and composer, Shaikh skillfully weaves traditional and electronic sounds into global music tapestries that takes listeners on sonic journeys transcending time and place. He has released 12 albums and many individual compositions, among them the 2004 release, Fusion, which was nominated for a JUNO award in the World Music category.
