The WSO is thrilled to host a special evening of uplifting musical performances in support of Sistema Winnipeg on May 20th, 2015 at Maples Commons in Maples Collegiate. Sistema Winnipeg is an outreach program of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, in partnership with the Seven Oaks School Division and Winnipeg School Division that delivers free, intensive music education to students in Winnipeg’s North End and Inner City. The evening will be hosted by Ismaila Alfa from CBC Radio One’s Up to Speed and features performances by the WSO and Sistema Winnipeg students, and special guests jazz artist Anna Lisa Kirby, violinist Gregory Lewis, singer Simon Miron, and songwriter Ali Fontaine.
Tickets to the Changing Lives Through Music are only $20 for adults, $5 for students, and free for children 12 and under.
