The Essentials

The Essentials are a five-piece jazz combo from Winnipeg, Manitoba. They consist of guitar, bass, saxophone, trumpet, and drums. Four of the members are high school students from Miles Macdonell Collegiate, and are members of the elite jazz ensemble "Superphonic". The other is a student at the University of Manitoba, who is currently in the faculty of music, and a member of the university's Big Band along with Jon Gordon 1. The members of The Essentials all have playing
experience and have joined together to create a unique sound that really swings!
