Renée Lamoureux
Renée Lamoureux, a bilingual singer-songwriter possessing a powerful, yet vulnerable and emotive voice, shares some of life's special moments through storytelling in her music.
With a sound best characterized as incorporating elements of pop, rock, folk, country and indie style; Renée's debut album ‘I Fall For You' released in 2012, received two Nominations at the 2013 Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Award (APCMA) for Best New Artist and for Best Pop Album. Success from songs on the album generated considerable airplay on Galaxie Radio over the last two years.
Apart from her solo work, Renée Lamoureux is also one half of the Canadian duo sensation 'Keith and Renée' which comes with its own parallel creative energy. Combining their unique voices and musical talent on songwriting and the stage, the music embeds signature vocal harmonies.
'Keith and Renée' have been nominated and have won numerous awards including: the Western Canadian Music Awards (WCMA) for Best Country Album in 2012.
'Keith and Renée' have toured extensively with various performers, including: Jann Arden, Blue Rodeo, Dallas Smith, Chad Brownlee, and Dean Brody; and the special moment of being the opening performer for Her Majesty, the Queen, on the occasion of the visit to Winnipeg, Manitoba.
More recently, Renée Lamoureux spent two summers in Kenya, Africa, as an Ambassador for the Humanitarian Organization 'Free the Children.' And, following performances in over 300 schools across Canada (as part of Keith and Renée) to inspire young people to make a positive difference in their own lives; Renée is about to launch her second solo album this fall, with good friend and well known guitarist, Murray Pulver, with a Canadian tour to follow.
