About

For the first time in two years, Uniter Fiver '14 alumni Hearing Trees and Greek Riots unite at The Knndy (the former lo pub)!

Hearing Trees will be fresh off their first tour of 2016 out West, so a party with Greek Riots and our mutual buddy Daniel of Bartley Knives seems apt.

ESCAPE!

Hearing Trees

From anxiety-laced post-punk to uplifting sing-along choruses Hearing Trees garners comparisons to Interpol, Matthew Good, and R.E.M.

The band released a sophomore EP, Dear Sahara, in August 2015 and toured Western Canada in support. Dear Sahara boasts four songs tied together by a letter-writing theme, with art and handwritten liner notes by frontman Graham Moon. The EP earned a 5/5 review in Canadian Beats, ...topped the chart at CKUW, and reached #35 nationally on Earshot.

Greek Riots

Greek Riots are an indie-rock quintet hailing from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Led by Jacques Richer’s deep and commanding voice, their music is of an ethos that could be described as a mindful mob mentality: rise together, fall together, and fight together.

Bartley Knives

A journalist-turned-song-and-dance-man from Winnipeg, Bartley Knives plays guitar and sings songs that were too strange for his other bands. An entertainer through and through, he follows in the sonic footsteps of M. Ward and Shotgun Jimmie.
