Rebecca Alvarez, Diana Cuthbertson, Alana Lewis, and Nicole Richard joined together in 2015 to form Talitha Koum, knowing that creating music together would bring new energy to their lives as professional musicians.
Inspired by the sounds and songwriting of the Wailin' Jennys, The Staves, and music from around the world, Talitha Koum features gentle vocal harmonies that wind between a folky texture of strings.
The band name (Aramaic for “Little girl, arise”) is inspired by the biblical story of a young girl raised to life through the words of Jesus.
