Winner of the BWA Nina Simone Award 2005 in London, England, British - Canadian jazz vocalist Adele M. Wilding returns to Prairie Ink Restaurant & Bakery this evening for a set of originals and standards. Adele's finely crafted originals will include selections from her EP, Sketches On Blue.
Joining Adele will be Winnipeg jazz pianist Bert Johnson.
Bert Johnson has been an active pianist in Canada for the past decade. Some performances include the Winnipeg Jazz Fest, club shows in Montreal, as well as a tour with indie band Flying Fox and the Hunter Gatherers. Bert is both a performer and educator having completed a Masters of Music through the University of Manitoba, and a Bachelor of Education through McGill University.
