About
Charles Lage has been a singer and songwriter since the age of 9 in 1966.
That doesn't vouch for how good he was - or is.
At the age of 16 he regrettably quit school and studied Piano Technology with Harold Gandy in Winnipeg. Because he is a high functioning autistic, his speed at learning was quite fast. By age 17 he was fully qualified and at 18 served customers now for over 40 years. Charles has always composed music, had four years of opera lessons with Henrietta Cornies Schellenberg and Richard Grieg.
The Qubes began as an idea from a cube being six sided as in multi faceted. The Qubes have an eclectic array of influences and repertoire. The first album, Make Me Laugh, came out in 1991.
The current line up consists of Travis Haugen, Bass, piano, vocals, song writing; Mark Holmesacourt , guitar, bass, vocals; Mark Barron, lead guitar, keyboards, song writing.
