About

Graham Shaw and the Sincere Serenaders were one of the top bands in Winnipeg in the late 70’s and early 80’s. Recognized as a powerhouse vocalist, Graham landed a solo recording deal in 1980 with Capitol Records. Shortly afterward, his first hit single "Can I Come Near" made the Top-10 across the Canada. The band featured Graham on lead vocals, guitar and keyboards, Danny Casavant and later Paul O’Neill on guitar, Ilena Zaremba and Susan Lethbridge on backing vocals, Gord Osland on drums and Gary Stefaniuk on bass. Graham moved to Toronto and built a successful career as a composer for film, television and advertising and went on to work with the likes of Anne Murray, Celine Dion, Alice Cooper, Jeff Beck and legendary producer Bob Ezrin to name a few. Many of his melodies are familiar to Canadians as themes for CBC shows such as Venture, Midday and Theodore Tugboat. In 2010, the Sincere Serenaders came together to perform a sold out reunion show at McPhillips Station Casino, their last show with the original line-up as Gary has sadly passed away. The original members are looking forward to performing on the state of the art Club Regent main stage joined by master musician/producer, Don Benedictson (Ministers of Cool) on bass guitar, and Produced by Gerry Atwell.
