Circle of Life Thunderbird House or Pinaysiwiigamic is arguably the most beautiful Indigenous venues in Winnipeg. Thunderbird House has long been a centre of indigenous pride as well as a place of healing, cultural reclamation and reconciliation. Its location is also notable; situated a stone's throw from both the North End of Winnipeg and the Exchange District right in the heart of Winnipeg at Higgins Avenue and Main Street, a neighbourhood shared with many who do not have a roof of their own. Pinaysiwiigamic too finds it’s roof at risk and requires much to repair. The proceeds of this fundraiser will help in these much-needed repairs and the general operations of Pinaysiwiigamic. The Feast Cafe Bistro and the ThunderHearts of Pinaysiwiigamic invites your sponsorship in this venture to help raise the necessary funds quickly and in spirit of community.

December 21 the Solstice is a sacred time of renewal and rebirth as the new year moves toward longer days. Indigenous peoples across Turtle Island celebrate this time with feasting and sharing with Community.

This year is the first time we are breaking traditions to seek help for Pinaysiwiigamic by asking for monetary support from the greater Community. The event will profile the unvieling of Aaron Paquette's artwork entitled "Reborn Under the Solstice Moon" which will be held up for auction. The 40" x 60" painting will have a reserved bid of $5,000. Among several Daphne Odjig original prints and numerous other works of art we also have carvings from Hollow Water's talented Randy Ducharme, reserve bids for only 2 of 3 pieces.

The Tentative Itinerary for the evening:

Doors Open 3:30pm

4pm Dinner service begins for the Relatives who live outside

5pm Seated Dinner for guests all welcome

Entertainment includes Jason Tuesday sharing his classical guitar and so of his own compositions

6:30pm Art Auction registration

7pm Unveiling of Aaron Paquette's Reborn Under the Solstice Moon

7:30pm - 8pm Silent Art Auction starts and door prize distribution
