Kakagi
Kakagi is a folk-rock band from Winnipeg, MB. Heavily influenced by other prairie songwriters, Kakagi writes earnest songs about mundane places and situations. Kakagi takes their name from a lake in Northwestern Ontario close to the summer camp where the band first played together. Kakagi’s music fits well with the canoe trips the band members took in their youth: relaxed, yet determined, and somewhat unpredictable.
Deep Dark Cave
Deep Dark Cave’s sound is a perfect blend of harmonics, textures and effects where no instrument out powers the other. The story of their songs is told through impactful onstage visuals from the 50s, 60s and 70s that still resonate in today’s world. Created by five musicians with strong creative input and desire. Currently working on their EP, their style has been compared to Kings of Leon, A Silent Film, Atlas Genius and The Killers to name a few.
