Woodwind Specialist Sean Irvine and Synesthesia Artist Alexandra Hasenpflug team up to provide a collaborative, immersive artistic experience inspired by music from around the world.

The Music: Guided by the compositional techniques of Woodwind specialist Sean Irvine, the concert will visit 10 countries around the world; reimagining their traditional folk songs within the linguistics of the Jazz dialect. Accompanied by Andrew Littleford on trumpet, Will Bonness on piano, John Baron on bass, and Kevin Waters on drums, this promises to be an exciting trip around our little blue ball.

The Art: Painter Alexandra Hasenpflug is a unique artist, and has appeared as a guest on the renowned TEDTalks series. Having the ability to see colour in the music we listen to in our lives (through experiencing Synesthesia), Alexandra brings image to the sound of music. Alexandra will be painting throughout the concert, and we will be featuring a collection of her original works available for purchase.
