About

The Djembe Drum from Africa has become the most popular hand drum for its versatility and clarity with three distinct tones.

Learn proper hand postures to get good tones without hurting your hands using Traditional African patterns as well as general modern musical accompaniment patterns.

Henry Zacharias has been performing and teaching hand drumming since 1990. He studied under some big names such as Mamady Keita and Bruno Genaro as well as many local teachers.
He developed several percussion ensembles over the years and currently leads the Sacred Beats Ensemble presenting bimonthly FreeDance events at CSL and the World Village Gospel Choir Drum Ensemble performing with the choir under the Direction of Neil Wisensel and Rachel Landrecht.

He performs with the house band for the Centre for Spiritual Living, OptiMystic every Sunday during their regular Sunday service and he recently joined Mariachi Del Norte, playing Latin and R & B rhythms.
