Grammy Award-nominated indie rock legend Neko Case is coming to the Burton Cummings Theatre on May 4, 2019, presented by the Winnipeg Folk Festival. Since the 2013 release of her critically acclaimed album The Worse Things Get, the Harder I Fight, the Harder I Fight, the More I Love You, Case recorded case/lang/veirs and toured with k.d. lang and Laura Veirs, released the Polaris Prize-nominated album Whiteout Conditions with her band The New Pornographers and sat on a panel at the first-of-its-kind “Woman Producer” summit in Brooklyn, NY.
Now, Case is touring North America with her 2018 album, Hell-On. Inspired by the erasure of women’s accomplishments throughout history and the loss of her home to a fire, Hell-On is a force of nature, called “her most compelling work yet” by The Independent.
