"The Brian Chipney Trio plays straight-ahead, swinging mainstream jazz. It's a timeless style, one that draws on elements of just about everything heard in jazz from the very beginning. But at heart the style is rooted in 1930's swing. This isn't a nostalgic exercise though. For the BC3 this is living, breathing jazz played with taste, imagination and passion. The group features Brian Chipney on soprano saxophone [he sings a bit too; well, no one is perfect ......], Don Kissick on piano and Steve Hamilton on bass.
