Well summer's ALMOST over, school's back in session, the leaves are changing colors and the temperature is going down. So what better time to catch one of the last outdoor music and arts festivals in Manitoba. Sept. 30th to Oct 1st 2005 is the first annual Shine Thru Rain music and Arts festival taking place just east of Steinbach at Sandilands Mb. ADMISSION IS FREE! But make sure to bring enough food, water, tents/tarps, instruments and WARM CLOTHES (just incase). Remember this is Manitoba anything can happen weather wise.
The innagural festival is looking as though it will be a treat musically and spiritually, with performances from local talent such as Funk Dubois, Philly and the Blunts, Danny Parameter, The River City Hum, Trouveres, Patrick Alexander, Ian Larue, Unravelled Brown Orchestra, Scotty and Amy, just to name a few. You can almost be certain that there will be a few suprises and who knows, the Canadian Grass All Stars Super Dooper Backwards Magical Jam Trooop could collaberate for a spectical never yet experienced....even by them. So make sure you mark it down on your "To do list" and grab some instruments, a palate, or just grab some crayons and some construction paper and some matches and head down to the Sandilands. More information can be found at http://homepage.mac.com/tommyallen789/shinethrurain/ or just go to www.geocities.com/canadiangrassrecords and click on the Shine Thru Rain link. SEE Y"ALL OUT THERE... you can bring your green hat.
