Rock poets The Weakerthans are returning to the studio to record a fourth album, which is set to be released this fall on Anti-/Epitaph Records. The band will record over the next several weeks in Winnipeg before heading to Toronto for finishing touches with producer Ian Blurton (Tricky Woo, The Illuminati), who helmed The Weakerthans� last two albums. This will be the band�s first offering since 2003�s acclaimed release, Reconstruction Site. The upcoming album will be less conceptual than past offerings and will be �more like a collection of songs and stories,� guitarist Stephen Carroll said in a press release.
