Early, Early Bird Tickets to the 35th Annual Festival

This Thursday, November 1, marks the first chance to buy tickets to the 2008 Winnipeg Folk Festival. The July 10-13 festival is the 35th installment.

These special Early, Early Bird tickets�sold at 2007 Early Bird prices--will be available only at the Festival Music Store, 211 Bannatyne Avenue. The store is open Tuesday through Saturday, 11-6.

These special tickets are available in limited quantities and for a limited time. The offer will end December 29, or when quantities run out, whichever comes first. After that, tickets will go on sale again in 2008 (on an as-yet-undetermined date) at 2008 Early Bird prices (prices not yet set).

November 1 also marks the opening of the festival photography exhibition, A Birds Hill View, in The Folk Exchange, also at 211 Bannatyne Avenue, behind the Music Store. The store will be open additional hours between 7 and 9 pm on November 1 to coincide with the art show opening. Festival lovers can check out the photographs of festivals past and pick up their 2008 tickets at one time. A Birds Hill View runs until December 15.
