Winnipeg singer and recording artist Julie Biggs has just released her second album Passions: Art of Seduction.

Passions: Art of Seduction is an adult cross-over/adult contemporary recording which is distributed nationally by Outside. Julie’s debut album My Loving Days (Amorosi miei giorni) was released in 2002 and was nominated for a Prairie Music Award for Outstanding Classical Recording.


The songs on Passions: Art of Seduction have been arranged in a contemporary style and feature percussion, strings, synthesizers and effects. Several tracks were chosen from the Romantic era. Romantic period. Julie also chose modern selections that she arranged in an adult cross-over style like “For Emily” by Paul Simon, and “Death to all the Romance” (Tell me the Lies) by Montreal band The Dears. In addition Julie worked with Winnipeg composer Andrew August in composing two Spanish pieces “Yo Soy Ardiente” and “Al Amor”.

Musicians contributing to Passions include members of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, Manitoba Conservatory faculty, University of Prepatory Studies faculty, and UCLA faculty.

Passions: Art of Seduction was recorded at Unison Studios in Winnipeg, Canada with producer and arranger Scott Stewart. The album was mastered in Minneapolis by Rob Schlette at Anthem Mastering.
