Harnessing his complete inability to let go, Jared Kist comes off of a 2 year hiatus from solo music with the release of 'Liars & Thieves'. 
The album draws thematic parallels to his two previous releases under the moniker Almost Birds. 'The Tourist EP' and 'As We Grow Young', acting as a book-end of sorts to the trio, while remaining a piece of its own. 
The stripped down feel of the EP was a "stylistic choice" says Kist, “The records I did in the past were the product of months and months in the studio. I wanted this to be simple, one or two takes at most, which means there are mistakes. it's not a perfect record, and I'm okay with that. It's natural, it's self-aware, and it's honest”.
