Following the release of their self-recorded and produced sophomore album, "Test of Time", New Renaissance caught the attention of Winnipeg producer Dorian Preston (formerly of Sick City) who expressed interest in working with the band. Recorded at Exchange District Studios in Winnipeg, MB, "Face to Face" is the first single to be released from their studio sessions, and combines elements from both of the band's previous LPs, with Preston bringing a new style and attitude to their sound. The song was professionally mastered at Lurssen Mastering Studios in Hollywood, CA. by the same engineers who mastered such albums as "Sonic Highways" by Foo Fighters and "...Like Clockwork" by Queens of the Stone Age.
