CKUW FUNdrive

February means one things to listeners of CKUW 95.9 FM: FUNdrive. The ninth annual week-long on-air pledge campaign kicks off on February 8 and runs until February 15.  The campus radio station, which has its home at the University of Winnipeg, fills the week with great shows and special programming, as well as opportunties for listeners and supporters to call in (774-6877) and pledge their support for listener driven radio.

Fundrive events this year run the gamut from Indie Rock Karaoke to a Valentine's Day concert with Novillero, Oldfolks Home, and Telepathic Butterflies as well as special in-store performances, a DJ show, and the great Top Tens @ Times show on February 8 with 2008 Juno nominees Nathan, Papa Mambo, Jon Plett (of The Details), Doug McLean (of The Paperbacks), Matt Klachefsky (of Boats), J.C. Campbell, and Tracy Bone.
