Music Publishing Showcase

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 4pm, Wednesday, January 4, 2011

Manitoba Music is presenting a showcase for guest speakers from our upcoming Music Publishing panel to be held at Manitoba Music, February 4, 2012. The panel includes:

Amy Eligh, Creative Manager, Casablanca Media Publishing (Winter Gloves, Tupelo Honey, You Say Party);
Lysandra Woods, Licensing for Television and Film, Third Side Music (Amelia Curran, Rich Aucoin, Yeasayer);
Neville Quinlan, General Manager, Peer Music Canada (Hawksley Workman, Kathleen Edwards, The Tragically Hip).

This showcase event offers Manitoba acts a unique opportunity to perform for and network with influential music industry professionals from outside of Manitoba.

We welcome submissions from artists of all genres. Preference will be given to artists who perform music appropriate for the visiting speakers. Before submitting, we encouraged applicants to research the speakers’ companies and their rosters. Artists may be asked to perform in an acoustic or stripped down configuration.

To be considered for a showcase, you must:

Have a current release (demo / EP / full-length)
Be available to perform on the evening of February 4, 2012
Be a Manitoba Music member

Submit by email to showcases@manitobamusic.com the following:

“Manitoba Music Management Showcase” in the subject line
A link to your manitobamusic.com profile page (ensure your profile is updated with current music and artist bio)
A rationale for how this showcase fits your development plan (approximately 250 words)
Description of current team
Current high resolution (300 dpi) image or link to where one can be downloaded
