The new round of parallel sessions in will take place for artist managers in Winnipeg (February 17-22) and for self-managed artists in Halifax (February 24-29), offering music entrepreneurs real-world knowledge in navigating new export markets to foster success in the global music industry. The deadline to submit is Monday, September 23. Guidelines, criteria, and submissions info is available at passportmusic.ca.

"You think you know a lot until someone presents you with information that you didn't even know you needed," says AHI, a 2019 JUNO Award nominee who participated in the inaugural edition in 2018. "The PASSPORT: Music Export Summit was a very necessary pit stop for me as a self-managed independent musician. It helped me to refocus my career and realign my initiatives and put a lot into perspective for me."

"PASSPORT connected me with an incredible network of industry pros and fellow managers who have been invaluable in helping me develop and strengthen my export strategy," says PEI-based artist Rachel Beck, who participated in the 2019 edition.

Produced by Manitoba Music in partnership with Music Nova Scotia, and Canada’s Music Incubator, the project is funded by FACTOR with support from the Government of Canada.
