Welcome Andrea Davis as Manager, Export Programs

We’re excited to welcome Andrea Davis back to the Manitoba Music team in the new position of Manager, Export Programs! Andrea will support the growth and development of the music sector in Manitoba through our export and business development programming and Market Access grant.

Andrea has spent the past four years working at award-winning Winnipeg-based label, publishing, and management companies Mighty Cypress Talent and Birthday Cake Records. Her most recent role as project manager included supporting artists at export showcase events and building international teams and creative release strategies for the roster, and growing the label's operations. She was a founding board member of Rainbow Trout Music Festival, and has volunteered with numerous other festivals. Previously, she worked with the Winnipeg Folk Festival supporting the STINGRAY Young Performers Program and at Manitoba Music, where she worked in communications, administration, and community engagement events.

She brings invaluable experience, a fundamental understanding of the realities facing artists and music companies, and a deep knowledge of the opportunities in today’s evolving industry. She is a creative and thoughtful team member and we look forward to working with her in this dynamic new role,” says Manitoba Music’s executive director, Sean McManus.
