About

A band or artist who’s not signed with a publisher or label owns their own music copyrights. Those rights determine how artists earn money any time their music is sold, performed, covered, or broadcast. This workshop will explore performance, neighboring, mechanical, digital, and synchronization rights, as well as Youtube monetization and other topics related to proper compensation.

About DIY Series
The MusicWorks DIY Series is a new stream of workshops that allows new and emerging artists and industry, as well as veterans looking to update their skills, the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the music business. It all starts with important topics that everyone needs to master including bio writing, mastering social media, pitching for publicity, touring, and understanding copyright, and ends with planning a record release, showing how each of these puzzle pieces fit together to create a cohesive strategy.

*Members can register in advance for all six workshops in The DIY Series for only $45 (a 25% discount)*
