Album of the Year for Doc Walker

Doc Walker, the Juno-nominated country rock act, won Album of the Year at the 2007 Canadian Country Music Awards (CCMA) in Regina. The awards show, which took place on September 10, was the culmination of the four-day long Canadian Country Music Week.

Doc Walker was also nominated for the Kraft Cheez Whiz Fans’ Choice Award, Group of the Year and Single of the Year for “Driving with the Brakes On” from its self-titled album which beat out a strong field to take home the Album of the Year prize. Doc Walker’s management company, RGK Entertainment Group Inc. was named Management Company of the Year. Craig Medwyduk of Winnipeg’s Guppy Graphic Design picked up a trophy for Album Design of the Year for Doc Walker’s latest self-titled CD.

As one of the country’s largest music events, the 2008 Canadian Country Music Week and Awards will take place in Winnipeg, September 5-8.
