Since his debut in 1963, Stevie Wonder has been blowing people's minds with his talent and musical influence. Whether you like Funk, Jazz, Rock, Hip Hop... it's hard not to notice where Wonder's been.

Next Saturday, May 30, three Winnipeg bands will play the music of Stevie Wonder in tribute: The Lindsey White Band, Mas Headspace and FloSoul. Part time lover, Wab Kinew, willl be playing something from local RandB songstress Flo to get you warmed up.

Also on the show this week:
Wab talks to Nathan Terin, a Winnipeg man that has a passion for helping troubled youth. Since his teenaged cousin took his own life six years ago, Nathan has been organizing the annual Kids Help Phone fundraising concert series. Many local bands will be rallying together at the end of May to support the cause.

And some new music from ska band The SubCity Dwellers. You'll hear the ultra-fresh song called "Jerk Chicken Boogaloo." Sounds good, doesn't it? The band is releasing a 7" record with The Farrell Bros and the Magnificent 7s at the NEW West End Cultural Centre. That's happening Thursday, May 28.

The SubCity Dwellers are pumped about releasing actual vinyl!

Plus, a double header in the rap scene: Nestor Wynrush and Peg City ex-pat Grand Analog [Odario of Mood Ruff] are each releasing new material. And we've got previews on both fronts. If you want to check out the live show, head to the Pyramid Cabaret on Wednesday, May 27.

Nestor Wynrush new disc Trinnipeg! 78 features beats from Soso, mcenroe, Grand Analog, Kutdown & Lonnie Ce.

Grand Analog's new album is called Metropolis Is Burning.
