SOL JAMES is quickly breaking onto the music scene as a force to be reckoned with. Tapping into her experience in the genres of Jazz, Soul, R&B and Funk, Sol James combines them in her song-writing with her first love: Country. This ability to create a refreshing sound is apparent on her debut self-titled EP released in the Spring of 2012, which features 5 original tracks that showcase her diverse talent.
In just a short time, Sol James is conquering some of Manitoba's top performance slots, including Canada Day, Barge Festival and New Year's Eve at The Forks, The Winnipeg Jazz Festival, Broadway Street Festival, The Manitoba Country Music Association Artists showcase and a song-writing work-shop for The Winnipeg Folk Festival to name a few. Her reputation as dynamic and entertaining performer combined with incredible song-writing is becoming firmly set. It is undeniable: Sol has the ability to truly grip an audience and her music is being praised as honest and relatable, interpreted with a voice that is wonderfully unique. Nicknamed "The Aretha Franklin of Country" there is no doubt that Sol James is an artist who will make her mark.
