Country
Few artists capture the spirit of country music like award winning country singer/songwriter Kendra Kay. Raised in small town Manitoba and true to her roots, her music and song writing is inspired by the sounds of traditional country music. The 2018 Manitoba Country Music Association Fan’s Choice Entertainer of the Year Award winner has earned praise for her ‘powerhouse vocals’ and her live show was called a ‘must see’ by Top Country News.
With the release of her latest EP ‘More to Me’, Kendra has firmly established herself as an artist to watch and garnered respectable radio airplay with her recent two singles ‘Buy You A Drink’ and ‘Fuel on the Fire’ spending 17 weeks in the Top 100 on the Canadian Country National Airplay chart. 'Fuel on the Fire' also won the Canadian Independent Music Video of the Year Award for 'Best Country Video'. The star-studded sophomore project was co-produced by country star Terri Clark and CCMA Producer of the Year winner Murray Pulver, with songs written by artists like Meghan Patrick, Jessica Mitchell and Patricia Conroy.
Armed with her high energy 5-piece band, she has played shows across Canada including the CFL Banjo Bowl Halftime show at Investor’s Group Stadium, joined Tim Hicks on his ‘Get Loud’ Tour, performed with country music icon Patricia Conroy and played festivals such as Canadian Music Week, Boots & Hearts Pre-Party, Roger’s Hometown Hockey Festival and Dauphin’s Countryfest. Along with this, she has opened for artists like Jess Moskaluke, Aaron Prichett and Doc Walker. She has been called a ‘star in the making’, earned the Manitoba Country Music Association Female Artist of the Year Award and amassed over 320,000 streams on Spotify.
