Manitoba Music Export is presenting a showcase at Most Wanted: Music, a “hybrid” music festival and conference in Berlin, November 3-5. Filmed live at The Park Theatre last month, the showcase features hip hop collective Super Duty Tough Work and indie pop / electric groove outfit JayWood. The performance videos will air for festival delegates on November 5 followed by Q+As with the bands.

Both acts have been building significant buzz recently. Super Duty Tough Work earned a spot on the prestigious Polaris Music Prize long list, notable media attention for their latest release, Studies in Grey, and a recent documentary via CBC. JayWood has landed coveted spots in tastemaker festivals like New Colossus, Pop Montreal, and the upcoming Zandari Unreal in South Korea. 

The showcase is an opportunity for the artists to perform for and connect with influential music industry professionals, publishers, and songwriters within the German market in an online conference setting. It was made possible by the support of FACTOR and the Government of Canada, Western Economic Diversification Canada, and Manitoba Film and Music.
