"The Eyes of the Wolf" is a beautifully written and unique song sung by The Environmental Musician and Merlin Shoesmith who are wildlife biologists and singer/songwriters from Winnipeg, Manitoba. The song is about Aldo Leopold who is the Father of Conservation and his "aha" moment where he realizes the impact wolves have within ecosystems while looking into the fierce green eyes of a wolf he had killed. The song also reflects the history of The Wildlife Society from its beginning and the growth of a family of professional wildlifers working for their resource in diversity and equality toward the future.
