The Brats Attack With Latest Album

Members of local political punk rock outfit The Brat Attack have barely had time to catch their breath in recent months, especially after a great showing at Toronto Canadian Music Week last month. As of April 21, it's only going to get worse.

After the April 19 release of its third album,from this beauty comes chaos and mayhem, The Brat Attack heads off for a three Canadian month tour, including dates with the prestigious Warp Tour. The album, which features seven new tracks recorded in Toronto by Steven Risen, is out on Underground Operations, which is distributed by Universal Canada.

This is a big step for the band that's affectionately known of its ever-changing line-up. Frontman Dave Zegarac is still churning the guitar and writing the bulk of the tunes, even as latest bassist Matt Mayor (The Afterbeat) left the band a few weeks ago.

Underground Operations is home to bands Closet Monster and Bombs Over Providence, who recently toured with Juno-winners Sum 41 and may be able to offer The Brats some important exposure.

The band is planning to make two videos to back up the release of from this beauty comes chaos and mayhem, with plans for a European tour in Fall 2005.
