On January 25, 2007 in Cannes, France the Board of the IMMF (International Music Managers Forum) announced the members of it's Executive Council for 2007/8. Brian Hetherman, President of the Music Managers Forum Canada was elected Vice Chairman, responsible for the Americas.

Brian Hetherman is also the President of Cerberus Artist Management and Curve Music in Toronto. An industry veteran in Canada, Hetherman formerly worked as Director of A&R for Universal Music Canada and MCA Music Publishing, and was the Executive Director of the Radio StarMaker Fund before launching his management company and record label.

“This is not only a great honour for myself, but is a huge sign of confidence in the MMF Canada and the work we have done over the last 7 plus years" says Hetherman. "It will help take the contacts and ties that we have gained throughout the international management community to new levels and will create a direct benefit to all of our Canadian members."

Michael McMartin, the Executive Director of the IMMF, remarked that Hetherman's election was a result of the input that he had given to the IMMF over the past years as an IMMF Council member. "In our role as the umbrella organization for Manager's Associations in fifteen countries it is important for us to have executive members who have in turn the backing of an active and supportive national MMF. Canada is one such member and Brian will be a welcome addition to the IMMF Executive."

Other appointments made by the Council include Peter Jenner from the UK (Chairman), Volker May from Germany (Vice Chairman - Europe) and Michael McMartin reappointment as Executive Director. Steve Garvan of the MMF US was appointed to the new position of Communications Director.
