Inward Eye Rocks Lollapalooza

Winnipeg-based rock trio Inward Eye will be heading to Chicago in August to play one of the biggest music festivals around: Lollapalooza.

Known for their blistering live shows, the young brothers Erickson - Anders (drums), Kyle (guitar), and Dave (bass) - are sure to win over fans on August 3 with their performance at the BMI stage.

Established in 1991 by Jane's Addiction front man Perry Farrell, Lollapalooza is credited with defining Generation X in American in the same way that Woodstock did in the '60s. The three-day festival has been retooled and gone from a traveling show to its new home in Chicago's Grant Park. This year is the first of a five-year contract with the city of Chicago.

Other performers taking the stage in 2007 include Pearl Jam, Daft Punk, Muse, Iggy Pop and the Stooges, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Patti Smith, Ben Harper, Snow Patrol, Modest Mouse, and more.

Inward Eye will also do a couple of dates in early July with the Warped Tour, on July 3 in Vancouver and July 5 in Calgary.

After the Warped Tour, the band will do three dates with major U.S. rock act Hinder, including the July 11 gig at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg. Before that, they'll do July 10 in Saskatoon and July 9 in Calgary together.
