Manitoba Bands at Calgary's Sled Island Fest

Posted on

A handful of Manitoba bands have popped up in Calgary this week for one Canada's hottest music festivals. Sled Island -- which runs June 20-23 and is not, in fact on an island -- boasts an impressive line-up that includes marquee names like Feist and The hold Steady (who are fresh from a performance at the Winnipeg International Jazz Festival).

Hitting the Sled Island stages this year will be some of Manitoba's favourite indie acts, including Polaris Prize long listers Cannon Bros., post-punk trio This Hisses, new Brandonite Shotgun Jimmie, indie rock act Les Jupes, metal band Waster, and pop outfit Boats.

Check out when and where the Manitoba bands are playing on the schedule below and visit sledisland.com to see the complete lineup.
