Submission Dates: March 6 to March 20, 2013
Manitoba Music is interested in producing a series of videos showcasing Manitoba artists in live performance. The project should result in a series of videos that have a uniform look and feel. The videos will take an approach similar to that found in videos by Southern Souls or Tiny Desk Concerts. A short highlight reel promoting Manitoba Music more generally will also be created.
The videos will be used to promote Manitoba artists to the music industry and music fans in Canada and abroad including at Manitoba Music events in Toronto, Montreal, Los Angeles, New York, Germany, U.K., and beyond.
The project will result in 8 to 12 artist videos plus a Manitoba Music promotional video using footage from the artist shoots. The proposal should encompass all aspects of planning, filming, editing, and delivering HD videos, including:
- creative development meeting(s)
- any script writing/visual descriptions/storyboards
- any illustration/animation/sound design
- location, scheduling and logistics
- all shooting needs including filming, sound recording, lighting, etc.
- editing, sound mixing
- visual effects, text overlay, credits
- delivery of formats for various uses including online and DVD
Artists will be selected by Manitoba Music and will be chosen by April 1, 2013. All videos should be completed and delivered by July 1, 2013.
Submissions and Decision
Proposals must include:
- a quote to complete the project described above, broken down per video;
- a description of the artistic vision for the project (locations, themes, etc.); and
- examples of previous work of this nature.
Proposals will not be returned and incomplete proposals will not be considered. Manitoba Music will choose a successful proposal based on value for money, demonstrated excellence in previous work, and artistic vision. Preference will also be given to Manitoba Music members. A final decision will be made by March 29, 2013.
