Meet SRO Management/Anthem Entertainment's Tyler Tasson, who will be on hand this Wednesday, October 9 for the DIY Series' Effective Use of Social Media.

Tyler Tasson has been working the better part of the last four years at SRO Management/Anthem Entertainment, a full service management, label and publishing company. She has been on both sides of the music industry, having played in bands since the age of 14, and working at her first artist management company at the age of 18. Tyler currently works day-to-day with artists including Big Wreck and The Reason, and also works in a variety of positions including social media marketing, tour logistics and support, press and publicity, grant writing, endorsements, marketing and A&R. Artists on the SRO Management/Anthem Entertainment roster include RUSH, Big Wreck, The Tea Party, Brody Dalle (formerly of The Distillers), The Reason, Steven Page and Rikers.
About the Workshop
Social media has taken the concept of ‘street team’ to a whole new, viral level. Significant opportunities are available for musicians to connect directly with fans, on an instantaneous and ongoing basis. This workshop will look at tools, strategies, and tips on how to build and maintain a loyal and active fan base.
The MusicWorks DIY Series is a new stream of workshops that allows new and emerging artists and industry, as well as veterans looking to update their skills, the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the music business. It all starts with important topics that everyone needs to master including bio writing, mastering social media, pitching to college radio, touring, and understanding copyright, and ends with planning a record release, showing how each of these puzzle pieces fit together to create a cohesive strategy.
