Adam Countryman, The Agency Group

Meet The Agency Group's Adam Countryman, who will be on hand this Wednesday, October 30 for DIY SERIES: Touring.

Adam Countryman, The Agency Group
Adam started his career as a club and concert promoter and sometimes DJ. Now as an agent with The Agency Group Canada, he represents some of Canada’s top artists, including Arkells, Hey Rosetta!, Lights, Diamond Rings and Half Moon Run. While based in Toronto, Adam represents artists in Canada, The Unites States, Australia and Asia.

About the Workshop
National touring is quite a feat for any indie artist considering that many major label artists with a full team of agents, managers, and publicists still have to kick and scratch their way onto the national touring landscape. In this workshop, participants will find out how to go from putting together four show tours to spending multiple weeks on the road.

The MusicWorks DIY Series is a new stream of workshops that allows new and emerging artists and industry, as well as veterans looking to update their skills, the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the music business. It all starts with important topics that everyone needs to master including bio writing, mastering social media, pitching to college radio, touring, and understanding copyright, and ends with planning a record release, showing how each of these puzzle pieces fit together to create a cohesive strategy.
