Nominated for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year for Courage, My Love

The winning-combo of singer/songwriter Erin Propp and veteran Canadian jazz guitarist, Larry Roy released Courage, My Love in 2012 and have been riding a wave of critical acclaim ever since. The duo won Best Jazz Album of the Year at the 2013 Western Canadian Music Awards, and picked up their first JUNO nod for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year. A former student of Roy’s at the University of Manitoba, Propp made her debut with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra at the 2012 Winnipeg International Jazz Festival, where she opened for acclaimed American jazz singer Gretchen Parlato. Courage, My Love, features seven original works by Propp and Roy, and five specially-arranged jazz standards and pop covers, including an interpretation of U2’s “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For”.
